ORDER
The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition challenging the impugned order passed by the 3rd respondent in Na.Ka.A1/001-14/2024 dated 06.04.2024 and also for a consequential directions to the respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to perform the cultural program (i.e.) Karagattam and Adal Padal dated 22.04.2024 and 23.04.2024 at 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m. in the evening of "Chithirai 2/4
Pongal Thiruvizha" at Arulmigu Sri Angala Eswari, Sri Valagurunathar, Sri Veerapathiraswami Thirukovil at Maharajapuram Village, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that though the Assistant Returning Officer has granted permission for the festival, they have rejected the request of the petitioner for conducting the Adal Padal. This decision was also taken pursuant to the directions given by the Election Commissioner of Tamil Nadu.
3.In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. Hence, this petition is dismissed. No costs. 18.04.2024 NCC : Yes / No.
