Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to ensure the public health and safety in order to prevent water purity in Karaikudi Municipal limit, particularly at "Sambai Ootru"and consequently directing all the respondents to invoke the power which has been provided in various Acts, Rules for protection and control water effluence and granting such further or other orders.

(Order of the Court was made by T.RAJA, J) The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition with liberty to approach the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Chennai and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
