ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.471 of 2015 on the file of the 1st respondent.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that as per Rule 8-A(7), the Juvenile Justice Board, Tirunelveli fixed a date for final hearing, after sending notice to the respondent police, despite the respondent police have neither filed the final report nor sought extension of time. Hence, the Board terminated the proceedings as per Rule 8-A(7) of the Tamil Nadu Juvenile Justice Rules, 2001 and discharged the juvenile from the offence. He has also produced a copy of the proceedings dated 26.02.2018 in this regard. 3.Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
