Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., praying to direct the first respondent to monitor and supervise the investigation on the file of the third respondent and further direction to the third respondent to file the final report in Crime No.190 of 2012 within a stipulated time as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the first respondent to monitor and supervise the investigation, which is being done by the third respondent police and to file the final report in Crime No.190 of 2012 within a time frame. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.It is stated by the petitioner that his son viz., Senthilvel was found missing on 24.06.2012. The petitioner's daughter-in-law viz., Nalini preferred a complaint before the second respondent police on 25.06.2012. Based on that, the second respondent registered a case in Crime No.190 of 2012 under the heading of man missing. Subsequently, they secured the dead body of the son of the petitioner from Mayanoor river. Alleging that the death had taken place under suspicious circumstances, a petition was filed in Crl.O.P(MD)No.14690 of 2012 and this Court vide order dated 15.07.2015, directed the first respondent to monitor and supervise https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the investigation and accordingly the first respondent transferred the investigation from the file of the second respondent to the third respondent.

4.It is alleged that the third respondent has ignored the suspicious circumstances available regarding the death of the petitioner's son and he is intending to close the case as if it is an accidental death. Therefore, a representation was made to the first respondent to ensure that the case is not closed. Therefore, this application has been filed praying to direct the first respondent to monitor and supervise the investigation, which is being done by the third respondent police in Crime No.190 of 2012.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that instead of the first respondent, the Additional Superintendent of Police, Karur District, will monitor the investigation.

6.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the Additional Superintendent of Police, Karur District is directed to monitor the investigation in Crime No.190 of 2012 on the file of the second respondent, which is being done by the third respondent and the third respondent shall file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
