ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Certiorari to call for the records relates to the impugned transfer 2/7
order passed by the first respondent in his proceedings in D.O. 256/2024 R.C.No.A1/3000-11/2024, dated 14.03.2024 with respect to petitioner and consequential relieving order passed by the second respondent in his proceedings Nil, dated 22.03.2024.
2. Heard Mr.S.Sankar learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Shanmugavel, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.
3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is working as Special Sub-Inspector and going to reach the age of superannuation on 31.05.2025.
5. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has been 3/7
transferred thrice within a short duration and that he is going to reach his superannuation on 31.05.2025. The last transfer order was issued to him on 14.03.2024 and by which the petitioner has been transferred from Thiruneelakudi to Pandhanallur Police Station. Earlier the petitioner was serving at the second respondent police station for 3 1⁄2 years.
6. But in police service, the petitioner cannot expect to stick on to one place without receiving the transfer orders. The transfer does not seems to be intentional. However, it was given in short intervals. If there is no special reason to transfer the petitioner, except for administrative convenience, the petitioner's request for re-transfer to his earlier place can be considered by considering on medical grounds stated by him.
6. The petitioner is at liberty to give a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of one week from 4/7
the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the respondents shall consider favourably and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks thereafter.
7. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
