PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 3 and 4 to survey and fix the boundaries in respect of the petitioner's land in Survey Number 132/1E and 132/1CA1, Perungudi Village, Madurai District and consequently direct the fifth respondent to give adequate police protection within a stipulated period that may be fixed by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

Though the petitioner seeks issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to conduct survey based on the petitioner's applications, dated 16.01.2025 and 02.03.2025, the learned counsel for the petitioner would bring it to the notice that pending this writ petition, date for survey was fixed on 08.04.2025. However on account of rain, survey was postponed. 2/5

Considering that the respondents have already acted upon the petitioner's application for survey, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to conduct survey and pass final orders on the petitioner's applications, dated 16.01.2025 and 02.03.2025 within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If necessary, the third respondent shall give advance intimation to the petitioner and the sixth respondent as well as the fifth respondent, who shall ensure the availability of sufficient police force to enable peaceful survey to be conducted.
