Respondents PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to appoint an officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, in accordance with Rule 7 of the SC/ST (POA) Rules, 1955, to investigate the case in Crime No.203 of 2014 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Vaiyampatti Police Station, Trichy District. ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to appoint an officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, in accordance with Rule 7 of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Rules, 1955, to investigate the case in Crime No.203 of 2014. 2.When the matter came up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that already Deputy Superintendent of Police, Manapparai has been appointed as an investigation officer in this case and that the investigation is on the proper direction.

3.At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that as the case has been registered in the year 2014, the concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police may be directed to complete the investigation within a time frame. 4.In view of the above submission and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police, is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.203 of 2014 and file a final report before the Court concerned within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
