For R2 : Mr.P.Sujai Krishna (in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8764/2022) COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions are filed to quash the FIR in Crime Nos.172 & 173 of 2022 on the file of the 1st respondent police.

2. The petitioners and the second respondent in both the Criminal Original Petitions are relatives. Due to family dispute, there was a quarrel between the parties. Hence, the second respondent in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.8762 of 2022 has given a complaint and the same was registered in Crime No.172 of 2022. As a counter blast, the second respondent in Crl.O.P.(MD)no.8764 of 2022 has given a complaint and the same was registered in Crime No.173 of 2022. Hence, the petitioners in both the petitions have come forward with these petitions to quash the FIRs in Crime Nos.172 & 173 of 2022.

3. When the matter came up for hearing, the petitioners and the second respondent in both the petitions are present. They have submitted that they have settled the dispute amicably between themselves and they have filed memos of compromise to that effect. The said Joint memos of compromise filed by the petitioners and the second respondent are recorded and taken on file.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the fact that both parties have settled the issues amongst themselves, this Court is inclined to quash the FIRs in Crime Nos.172 & 713 of 2022 against the petitioners.

5. Accordingly, these Criminal Original Petitions are allowed and the FIRs in Crime No.172 & 173 of 2022 on the file of the 1st respondent police are quashed. The Compromise memos filed by the petitioners and the second respondent in both the criminal original petitions shall form part of this common order.
