ORDER

The writ petition is filed seeking speedy disposal of the petitioner's appeal dated 02.02.2023 pending on the file of 1st respondent in respect of the petitioner's property situated in Survey Nos.66/2B, 67/1, 3/3, 55/1, 55/2, 56/2, 56/1A, 542, Thirumalapuram Village, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the subject property belonged to the petitioner' father Kalimuthu. After the death of the petitioner's father the mutation had taken place in favour of the private respondents 2 to 6 by excluding the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner submitted an appeal before the 1st respondent on 02.02.2023, seeking issuance of fresh Patta in favour of all the legal heirs of the deceased Kalimuthu. The said appeal has not been considered by the 1st respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader who appeared for the 1st respondent would submit that the appeal submitted by the petitioner will be considered disposed of within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 02.02.2023 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, respondents 2 to 6 and other interested parties.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
