ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the pending appeal proceedings in O.Mu.A1/803/2026 in respect of the subject Punja lands in S.No. 574/8B to the extent of 0.29.00 Hec (72 Cents) and in S.No. 575/3B to the extent of 0.13.00 Hec (32 Cents) in Keerambur Village, Thuraiyur Taluk, Trichy District, within a time frame as fixed by this Court by considering the petitioner's appeal dated 09.02.2026.

2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that, due to election duty, the respondent seeks additional time to consider the appeal and pass orders.

3. The appeal was filed on 09.02.2026. Since it has been filed in the present year, this Court is directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
