ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for issuing a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members and their property situated at Survey No.353/4, situated at Mullur Village, Pudukkottai District based on the petitioner's representation, dated 28.03.2023.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that because of land dispute, the private respondents have attacked the petitioner with deadly weapons on that ground he has given a complaint before the respondent police.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would 2/6

submit that the complaint given by the petitioner was registered in CSR No and the same will be enquired within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. In view of the said submission, the respondents police are directed to conclude the enquiry within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. So far as this representation, with regard to police protection is concerned, the same will be enquired simultaneously, after ascertaining the stage of the earlier complaint given by the petitioner, the above said representation may be disposed of.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
