[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.T.Thiraviam, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents.
2. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue Writ of Mandamus or any other order or direction in the nature of writ, forbearing the Respondents 2 to 7 from evicting the Petitioners from their patta land in plot Nos.60 and 41 in Survey No.181/2B and 188/5 and it is sub-division situated at Perungudi Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai District without following the due process of law by considering the petitioners common representation dated 05.04.2023 within the time stipulated by the Hon'ble Court and pass any further or other order as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render Justice."
3. The Special Tahsildar, Adi-Dravidar Welfare (Unit-I), Madurai, by her communication, dated 15.04.2023, addressed to the learned Additional Government Pleader, has stated that the patta granted to the petitioners has not been cancelled and in fact, their case has been recommended for grant of computer patta.
4. Recording the statement made by the Special Tahsildar, the writ petition is dismissed as unnecessary. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
