The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction, directing the respondents not to harass the petitioner and his family members.
2. The counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that during the year 1997, one Renganathan, who is the owner of Sri Subhamangala Real Estate, had promoted house sites and he announced an instalment scheme, in which, the petitioner and his father had acted as a commission agents and the petitioner has not committed any offence, as alleged by the prosecution. He has also submitted that, if any person produces documents showing the amounts due to them in connection with the said transaction concerned, the petitioner is ready and willing to settle the claim of the persons concerned.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), on instruction, would submit that petition enquiry was conducted and there is no such harassment against the petitioner and if any interrogation or any further investigation is needed by the respondent against the petitioner, the norms which are mentioned in the Judgement of Hon'ble Apex Court in D.K.Basu Vs. State of West Bengal reported in AIR (1997) SC 610, would be followed. He would further submit that there will not be any harassment and the enquiry or interrogation would be done in accordance with law.

4. Recording the statement of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) that the 2nd respondent police will not harass the petitioner in future under the guise of any enquiry and also recording the submission of the petitioner, the criminal original Petition is closed. The petitioner is also directed to co-operate with the enquiry and appear before the respondent police on summons.
