The petitioner is before this Court challenging the Gazette Notification issued by the 4th respondent in Na.Ka.No.A2/2490/2023 dated 31.12.2025, insofar as it relates to the inclusion of Kombaipatti Hamlet within Pachilanayakkanpatti Village Panchayat, Palani Taluk,

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 7th respondent has placed on record the proceedings, dated 14.02.2026, issued by the Additional Secretary to Government, addressed to the District Collector concerned, directing the publication of a Government Order to exclude Kombaipatti Hamlet from Pachilanayakkanpatti Village Panchayat, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District, and to restore it to 3/6

Kombaipatti Kanakkanpatti Village Panchayat, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District. She further submitted that the entire exercise will be completed within a period of four months from today.

3. The said submission is recorded.

4. In view of the subsequent development, nothing survives for further consideration in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of, granting liberty to the petitioner to revive the petition in the event the said village is not restored to Kombaipatti Kanakkanpatti Village Panchayat, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District within the stipulated time. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
