Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, notice to the sixth respondent is dispensed with. 2.The petitioner's allegation is that the sixth respondent has formed an association and is forcing the petitioner to discontinue plantain cultivation. This Court posed a specific question to the petitioner as to whether the land in question belongs to the petitioner or is a poramboke. The petitioner's counsel clearly states that the land in question is very much a patta land. If that be so, it is open to the petitioner to engage in whatever cultivation, he deems fit. The petitioner alleges that the sixth respondent has formed an association and they are trying to commit trespass.

If that be so, it is definitely a matter in which the police will have to interfere. The petitioner has already given a representation before the second respondent. The second respondent will look into it and ensure that the jurisdictional police will take action as per law.

3.With this direction to the second respondent, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
