The writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to grant permission and protection to conduct Adal Padal Cultural Programme on 16.04.2023 at about 6.00 PM to 11.00 PM on behalf of the petitioner's Village people in pursuant to the Temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Karpaga Vinayagar, Sri Murugan, Sri Iyappan, Sri Pappara Kaliamman, Sri Periyatchi Amman (Petchiamman) Temples situated at Vadakkuthoppu Puliyakudi, Puthur Naduppatti, Papanasam Taluk, Thanjavur District based on the petitioner representation dated 07.04.2023.

2.Mr. R.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) takes notice for the respondents and submitted that in the year 2022-2023, when similar event was arranged, there a clash occurred between two group of people. Over which, six cases have been registered. Among which, two cases are under the provisions of Special 2/4

Act.

3.If any law and order problem is apprehended by the respondents, the representation that has been made by the petitioner may be rejected. So that the petitioner can work out his remedy through appropriate proceedings.

4.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
