Side) :Mr.M.Vivek Bharathi for R2 O RDER This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the charge sheet filed in C.C.No.984 of 2022 on the file of Additional Mahila Court, Dindigul. 2.The contention of the petitioners is that based on the complaint lodged by the 2nd respondent, the 1st respondent registered the First Information Report in Crime No.13 of 2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 406, 323, 294(b), 506(i) of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2022 r/w Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, against the petitioners.
3.Earlier, the matter was referred to the Mediation Centre. There was settlement between the parties, by which, Rs.5,00,000/- is deposited as Fixed Deposit for the children and so far wife is concerned, she has also received Rs. 5,00,000/-. They decided to separate mutually from each other. They also got 2/4
divorce from the concerned Court. In view of the above said settlement between the parties before the Mediation Centre, let them appear before the respondent and make statement with regard to the above said compromise. On the basis of the above said statement, the respondent police may close the file 4.With the above said directions, this criminal original petition stands allowed. The terms of compromise shall form part of the order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
