ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the first respondent expedites the investigation in Cr.No.65 of 2023 on the file of respondent police. 1/4

2. The petitioner is the complainant in Crime No.65 of 2023 registered for the offences under Sections 294(b), 324 and 506(2) of IPC and now the grievance of the petitioner is that, after registering the FIR, no progress has been made in the investigation.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No.65 of 2023, only on 01.04.2023 and that the investigation is in progress. Hence, he seeks six months time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate(Crl. Side), the first respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.65 of 2023 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
