O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to correct the date of birth in the petitioner's Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) as 19.05.1997 instead of 24.06.1998, in consonance with the birth certificate, and also to correct the initial in the petitioner's name as "M. Murali" instead of "R. Murali".

The petitioner submitted a representation dated 23.02.2026 to the third respondent, enclosing copies of the mark sheet and the birth certificate issued by the competent authority, wherein the date of birth is recorded as 19.05.1997 and the name as "M. Murali". The grievance of the petitioner is that no action has been taken on the said representation.

3. Mr. N. Ramesh Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted 2/5

that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be forwarded by the third respondent to the second respondent for consideration, and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. The said submission is recorded.

In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to forward the petitioner's representation dated 23.02.2026 to the second respondent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of the same, the second respondent shall consider the representation on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks thereafter.

5. No costs.
