O R D E R

The petitioner made a representation for exchange of land for diversion of the channel running through his land. Pursuant to his representation, a report was also called for from the District Collector, Dindigul District. In turn, on 31.08.2016, the District Collector, Dindigul District, directed the Tahsildar to conduct field inspection and to file a status report. It appears that the Tahsildar has sent his report on 29.03.2017. But, yet there is no order from the first respondent. In such circumstances, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, a

direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.08.2016, and pass order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
