O R D E R

The petitioner is before this Court assailing the proceedings dated 18.03.2026 issued by the respondent.

By the said proceedings, the Form-7 submitted by the petitioner for approval of the change in office bearers of the petitioner Association was returned on the ground that the petitioner had not produced the proceedings of the General Body Meeting, in which the existing office bearers had resigned and an ad hoc committee consisting of three members was approved, which thereafter conducted elections for electing new office bearers of the Association.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the proceedings of the General Body Meeting were in fact annexed along with Form-7. However, the first respondent, without properly verifying the documents, erroneously returned the Form-7. 2/5

4. Mr. A. Baskaran, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the proceedings of the General Body Meeting and other relevant documents were not furnished along with Form-7. Therefore, the respondent rightly returned the Form-7, and the same does not warrant interference by this Court.

5. In order to resolve the controversy, it would be appropriate to direct the petitioner to produce the proceedings of the General Body Meeting along with all other relevant documents. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of, preserving liberty to the petitioner to resubmit Form-7 along with the proceedings of the General Body Meeting and other relevant documents. Upon such submission, the respondent shall consider the same on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of the documents.
