For Respondent : Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR BAIL Under Section 439 of Cr.P.C. PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.132 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner is arrayed as sole accused. She was arrested and remanded to Judicial Custody on 03.05.2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act in Crime No.132 of 2021 on the file of the respondent police. She seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on 03.05.2021, the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 1.600 kgs of ganja near her house. Therefore, the case came to be registered for the above said offences.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and she has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is in judicial https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

CRL OP(MD). No.7781 of 2021 custody from 03.05.2021 and therefore, he seeks bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent submitted that the petitioner is having nine previous cases, out of which, seven cases are similar in nature and two cases are different in nature. He further submitted that investigation in this case is not completed and therefore, he seeks dismissal of this petition. 5.Taking note of the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that seven similar previous cases are pending against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
