This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the second respondent to provide police protection of the for the temple festival of Arulmigu Uttchini Makaliamman Temple, situated at Thalayari Gurunathan Street, South Masi Street, Madurai, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 31.03.2025.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents would submit that the respondents already received the representation from two rival groups claiming right over the temple and thereby, both the parties appeared before the respondents police and gave under taking that they will work out the remedy before the Civil Court in respect of the temple. Therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this case.

3. Since the representation of the petitioner is in respect of the police protection and the same was also considered and closed, nothing survives for further adjudication in this case. Hence, it is for the second respondent to take care of the law and order issue in the locality. Page No. 2 of 4
