This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, seeking direction against the respondent to consider the petitioner's explanation dated 20.01.2023 and the remainder dated 1/4

13.02.2024 and exonerate the petitioner from charges by passing final orders.

2. Heard M/s.V.Muthu Kamatchi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.

3. By consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

M/s.V.Muthu Kamatchi, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has been given with the show cause notice on 31.12.2022 calling for explanation for certain alleged lapses on the part of the petitioner. Even though the learned counsel for the petitioner assumed that this is the charge memo issued to the petitioner, the memorandum dated 31.12.2022 has not been annexed with any essential annexures. Whatever may be the case, the petitioner has submitted his explanation as called for on 20.01.2023 within the time limit. But, the grievance of the petitioner is that so far no decision has been taken by the respondent and the petitioner is kept under dark. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court by way of filing this Writ Petition. 2/4

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's explanation dated 20.01.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
