The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer, Sri Rengam Revenue Division, Vannankovil, Trichy District, to dispose of an appeal filed by the petitioner on 24.10.2020 against the Tahsildar's order relating to patta.
2. The learned Additional Government Pleader Mr.J.Ashok, had taken notice on behalf of the respondent, and forwarded instructions that notices had been issued in the said appeal and stated that the appeal would be disposed within a period of six weeks time, but following due procedure.
3. Recording the above statement, a direction is given to the respondent to take every endeavour to dispose of the appeal pending within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, but however, by following due process of law. 2/4
4. With the above direction, the Writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
