ORDER

The contempt petition has been filed for purported violation of the order this Court, dated 12.04.2024 in W.P(MD)No.21913 of 2023.

2. Today when the case was taken up hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent produced a copy of the order passed by the Joint Commissioner on 12.08.2024. He has drawn attention of this Court to Paragraph No.4 at Page No.3 of the order, dated 12.08.2024. He further submits that the order was also communicated to the petitioner and the petitioner is the first receipt.

3. On specific query raised as to reference to W.P(MD)No.21629 of 2023 in the Paragraph No.4 mentioned above, the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent submits that the same is a typographical mistake.

4. Considering the same, the contempt petition is closed. However, liberty is given to the petitioner to challenge the order, dated 12.08.2025 either before the Commissioner under Section 21 of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 or approach the jurisdictional

Joint Commissioner, within a period 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The order shall be kept in abeyance for the above stipulated period provided the petitioner files appropriate applciation either by way of revision under Section 21 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 or before the Jurisdictional Joint Commissioner.
