O R D E R

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner's land was acquired under the Tamil Nadu Act 10 of 1999. The award was passed. The petitioner is not satisfied with the quantum of compensation. He therefore sought reference under Section 8 of the Act for enhancement. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the reference was made way back in the year 2021, till date it has not been taken on file. This is absolutely unacceptable. It appears that due to glitches in e-filing, the reference could not be taken on file. There was no such issue in the year 2021.

3. I do not want to go into the reasons as to why the reference could not be taken on file. I direct the respondents to coordinate with the Court concerned and ensure that the reference is taken on file on or before 14.06.2024. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
