[Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.] Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent.

2. Prayer in this writ petition reads as follows: "For the reason stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other orders or direction in the nature of writ, for a direction, directing the Respondents to grant permission to conduct the Orchestra Light Music of Star Mastro Group (Innisai Kacheri) to be held on 16.04.2023 in the event of

Festival of Freedom Fighter Veeran Sundaralinganaar 253rd birthday celebration, at Sundarlinganaar statue near Ettaiyapuram Ring Road Kovilpatti, Tuticorin District at 6.00 pm to 11 pm without causing any disturbance to public order and pass any further or other orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the case and thus render justice."

3. Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondent has produced a copy of the application, dated 05.04.2023, given by the petitioner to the respondent seeking permission to conduct Orchestra on 16.04.2023 at 06.00 p.m. However, on the reverse of the said application itself, the petitioner has undertaken that he will complete the celebration before 02.00 p.m., on 16.04.2023 and he will not conduct the Orchestra programme.
