This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner for his life and limb and to construct the compound wall for the petitioner's property in Municipal No.106.K/19-B, Meelavittan Village, Thoothukudi Taluk and Thoothukudi District on the basis of his representation dated 02.05.2022.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that after receiving the complaint, the respondent police has not taken any action.

3. Though notice has been served to the third respondent and his name also printed in the cause list, none appeared either in person or through counsel.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that they are ready to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2022.

5. In view of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
