[Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 8 to produce the petitioner's husband, namely, Marudhu, aged about 47 years Son of Thakshnamoorthy before this Court and set him at liberty.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mrs.S.Ragaventhree, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 & 2, would submit that the detenu was working in the jewellery shop owned by the 10th respondent and on the basis of the complaint given by him, a criminal case has been registered against the detenu for misappropriation of 400 grams of gold jewels. It is further submitted that the police in Kualalumpur is investigating the crime and the first respondent is monitoring the same. A status report to that effect has been filed by the first respondent.

3. In the light of the above fact, we find no merits in the habeas corpus petition and the habeas corpus petition is dismissed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar (CS-II) // True Copy // / /2020 Sub Assistant Registrar(CS ) am Note :
