O R D E R

************ [Order of the Court was made by R.SURESH KUMAR, J.] The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove or shift the TASMAC shop No.10/162 situated in Eral Taluk, Thenthiruperai Village, Thiruchendur (Thiruchendur - Tirunelveli Main Road) based on the decision made in the Peace Committee Meeting held on 22.11.2023 and 14.02.2024.

2.Heard the learned Counsel on either side.

3.Already a Peace Committee Meeting was conducted by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Thiruchendur on 14.02.2024, where all stake holders had participated. In the said meeting, a decision has been taken to shift the TASMAC shop from the present place on or before 24.02.2024 and since the said decision has been taken in the said meeting headed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, we do not find any reason to direct the respondents to shift the said shop without finding any alternative.

4.In this regard, learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents would submit that, due to the election duty which went on upto 19.04.2024, it could not be materialised. Therefore, he seeks two [2] weeks time. The said statement is recorded.

5.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to shift the TASMAC shop from the present location and locate the same in any other place, which is not objectionable to the public, within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
