PRAYER :- For Bail in Crime No.143/2015 on the file of the respondent police.
ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Sole Accused, who is facing a case for the offence punishable under Sections 307 IPC @ 323, 366, 495, 496, 420, 417 and 302 of IPC in S.C.No.128 of 2016 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Pudukottai in crime No.143 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.It is seen from the records that since the petitioner has not turned up for the hearing on 22.02.2018, Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) was ordered to be issued and that warrant was executed on 04.04.2022 and he is still in custody.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

No.8841 of 2022 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that out of 22 witnesses, six witnesses have already been examined. 5.Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case and also the facts that the warrant was pending for more than four years and the petitioner was secured only on 04.04.2022 and that the trial is in progress, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at this point of time.
6.However, the learned Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Pudukottai, is directed to complete the trial and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
