O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by M.VENUGOPAL, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ forbearing the respondents from shifting the Ovari Police Station situated in S.No.408/4, Ovari, Radhapuram Taluk, Tirunelveli District to S.No.385/2A2, Kuttam, Radhapuram, Tirunelveli District.

2.Heard both sides.

3.By consent, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

4.It is represented on behalf of the respondents 1 to 4 that the present proposed location to shift the Police Station is not far away from the present Police Station and in fact, it is at a distance of one Km away from the present Police Station. Also that, it is represented on behalf of the respondents that the proposed area measuring 2 1⁄2 acres of land which belongs to Police Department and that the Police Quarters is also situated in that land.

5.Moreover, it is represented on behalf of the respondents that the present construction of Police Station was completed and inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 04.07.2017 and also the land was also transferred in the name of the Police Department, wherein, now the new Police Station was constructed.

6.In view of the fact that the new Police Station which was now constructed and after completion of the said construction, the same being inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 4.7.2017, this Court comes to a irresistible and inescapable conclusion that nothing survives for adjudication in the present Writ Petition.

7.Accordingly, the present Writ Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
