Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner challenges the peace committee decision taken under the aegis on the first respondent. It is well settled that a peace committee meeting is not convened under any statutory provision. It has no legal value. If the petitioner breached the decision, the petitioner will not suffer from any adverse consequence. The jurisdictional Police can interfere in the matter only if cognizable offence is committed. 3.Granting liberty to the petitioner to pursue his remedy in the manner known to law, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no 2/4

order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
