ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to quash the rejection of the petitioner's application, dated 25.05.2024, for issuance of a Legal Heirship Certificate and to direct the second respondent to issue the Legal Heirship Certificate to the petitioner.

2. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for a legal heirship certificate for his deceased wife, namely, Kaleswari. However, the same was rejected by the second respondent without any valid reason. Hence, the present writ petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner has not mentioned the parents of his wife in the application. However, if the petitioner applies afresh, along with the names of the parents of his wife and all the necessary documents, the application will be considered in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the petitioner to apply afresh along with the details of the parents of his wife and all the necessary documents before the second respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such documents, the second respondent shall consider the same on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within three months thereafter. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
