ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the Grama Natham land in Survey Nos. 58/17 and 58/75, measuring an extent of 107 sq.mt., situated at Mavadi Village, Manur Taluk, Tirunelveli District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 02.06.2023.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is in continuous possession of the subject properties and has been enjoying the same without any hindrance for many years. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 02.06.2023 requesting issuance of patta in respect for the aforesaid land. Despite the said representation, no action has been taken by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 2/4

would submit that the petitioners' representations will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.06.2023, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner, as well as all other persons, who may be interested in the subject matter, within sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.
