ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioners, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police in connection with the case in Crime No.303 of 2024 for the offence under Section 294(b), 342, 324, 365, 387 and 506 (ii) I.P.C. and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of 1/3

Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003, have filed this petition, seeking anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant borrowed a sum of Rs.3,60,000/- from the petitioners and he paid a sum of Rs.6,14,000/- with interest. Thereafter, the petitioners are said to have threatened the defacto complainant to pay additional interest of Rs.90,000/-, assaulted him and caused injuries to him.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent submits that the investigation is yet to be completed.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, nature of offence made against the petitioners, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
