Mr.R.Meenakshi Sundaram, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-police and Mr.M.Vetrivel, the Inspector of Police, Ponmalai Police Station, Trichy City are before the Court.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, Mr.R.Meenakshi Sundaram, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions from the respondent police, submits that the petition enquiry was conducted and the complaint was not pressed as the matter had been settled between the petitioners and the defacto complainant. Hence, there is no case and no FIR has been registered against the petitioners. In view of the same, the petitioners have no reasonable apprehension of arrest at the hands of the respondent-police. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
