PRAYER in Crl.MP(MD) No.6677 of 2026 This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed to extend the time made in Crl OP(MD) No.124 of 2026, dated 29.01.2026 by this Court. In both petitions:
For Petitioner : Mr.S.M.Anantha Murugan For Respondent : Mr.M.Karunanithi, Government Advocate (Crl.Side) COMMON ORDER These Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions have been filed to modify the condition No.6, directing the petitioners to produce two common sureties and to extend the time limit to comply with the conditions made in Crl OP(MD) No.124 of 2026, dated 29.01.2026.
2. In Crl OP(MD) No.124 of 2026, dated 29.01.2026, this Court granted anticipatory bail to the petitioners, wherein, in paragraph No.6 this Court has directed as follows:
"6.Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on their appearance, on condition that the petitioners shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi, 2/5
within a period of fifteen days from the date on which the order copy is made ready and on further conditions that: ....."
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners has filed a petition in Crl.M.P.(MD) No.6675 of 2026 seeking modification of the condition to produce two common sureties, instead of furnishing two sureties for each petitioner.
4. Insofar as the request for common sureties is concerned, it is for the learned Magistrate to decide the same at the time of execution of sureties. If the petitioners make a request before the learned Magistrate, the Magistrate shall consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law.
5. Since the modification petition is pending, this Court is inclined to extend the time limit for compliance with the conditions imposed in Crl.O.P.(MD) No.124 of 2026 for a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, these Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are ordered.
