ORDER

This petition has been filed praying to direct the respondents to provide adequate personal security and police protection to the petitioner based on the representation made by the petitioner, on 27.06.2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that there is a threat to his life at the hands of the rival grups and hence, the petitioner has made a representation on 27.06.2018 to the respondents seeking for police protection to the petitioner. As no order has been passed in the said representation, the petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the second respondent has registered a case against the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

proposed accused in Cr.No.1200 of 2018, dated 25.06.2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b) and 427 of IPC. Now, the petitioner has given a representation to the first respondent seeking for police protection and the said representation is pending with the first respondent and the same will be considered in accordance with law.

5.In the light of the above, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 27.06.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
