Heard, the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Jagadeesh Balan, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent and carefully perused the materials available on record. 1/4

2. The petitioner was initially appointed as a Conductor in the respondent Transport Corporation and thereafter he met with an accident and he sustained grave injuries. Basing on the representation of the petitioner, the petitioner was referred to Medical Board and basing on the recommendations of the Medical Board, the petitioner was appointed as Cashier, on 15.12.2012, at Manapparai Branch. The petitioner submitted a representation to the respondent on 30.11.2024, requesting for implementation of review increment from the year 2016 and to compute his salary accordingly and to pay the monetary benefits for the interregnum period along with arrears of salary. The said representation is not considered by the respondents. Aggrieved by the in action of the respondent, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the representation of the petitioner will be considered within the time to be stipulated by this Court by following the relevant standing orders.

Considering the submissions of the respective counsels and facts and circumstances of the case, this Court intends to dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2024, within the time to be stipulated herein under to meet the interest of justice.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2024 and pass appropriate order in accordance with the relevant Standing Order followed by the respondent transport corporation within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

There shall be no order as to costs.
