O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct Musical Classical Dance Programme in "Arulmigu Muthumariamman Thirukovil Temple" during Chithirai Festival situated at Karambayam Village, Pattukkottai Taluk, Thanjavur District as per the schedule dated 07.04.2025, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 01.04.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the resident of Karambayam Village, Pattukkottai Taluk and the village people have decided to conduct Temple Festival of "Arulmigu Muthumariamman Thirukovil Temple" from 06.04.2025 to 18.04.2025 and they also decided to conduct cultural programme on 07.04.2025. For that, they approached the third respondent for grant of permission through representation dated 01.04.2025, but the same has not been considered. Hence this petition. 2/4

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner is under consideration and they will consider the representation favorably by imposing appropriate conditions in accordance with law.

4. Heard both sides and perused the records.

5. Considering the prayer sought for in the petition and the representation of the petitioner dated 01.04.2025 is also pending with the third respondent, this Court directs the third respondent to grant permission to Musical Classical Dance Programme on 07.04.2025 by imposing appropriate conditions.

6. With the above said observations and directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
