Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, praying to direct the first respondent to change the investigation of the criminal case in Crime No.42 of 2020, from the file of the third respondent to any other competent investigation officer and further direct the investigating officer to expedite the filing of charge sheet.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to change the investigation in the case registered in Crime No.42 of 2020 from the file of the third respondent to any other competent investigation officer. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that immediately after registration of the case, 14 suspected accused including one Anitha, who is serving in the Police Station and also one of the suspected accused in this case as per the version of the petitioner, were interrogated. He would further submit that during the time of interrogation, no clue was obtained by the investigation officer. Further, there is no C.C.T.V. footage available. Therefore, the respondent police are seriously searching the real culprits and the investigation is going on in a correct way.

CRL OP(MD)No.8642 of 2020 3.Recording the above said submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, this Criminal Original Petition is closed, as there is no infirmity in the investigation conducted by the third respondent. However, in view of the apprehension the petitioner is having, this Court directs the second respondent to monitor the investigation periodically till the filing of final report in Crime No.42 of 2020.
