The Writ Petition is filed for a Mandamus directing the respondents to renew the gun license based on the petitioner's representation dated 20.11.2025.
2.When the matter came up for hearing, it is represented on behalf of the first respondent, the District Collector, that already reports with reference to the renewal of gun licenses from 01.01.2026 to 31.12.2030 have been received from the Superintendent of Police and the Revenue Divisional Officer and the further, the same will be processed and considered after the General Elections and the end of the Model Code of conduct.
3.In view thereof, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the following terms:
1) Let final orders with reference to the renewal of the gun license of the petitioner be passed by the 1st respondent in the manner known to law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the web 2/4
copy of the order without waiting for the certified copy of the order. No costs.
