ORDER

This application has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking a direction to the learned Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram, to accept the surrender of the petitioner and to consider the bail application on the same day.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents. 3.The petitioner is an accused in Crime No.232 of 2016 registered by the 2nd respondent under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(i) IPC r/w Section 3(1)(r)(s) of SC/ST (POA) Amendment Act, 2015. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the complainant was a booth agent in Mudukulathur Constituent Assembly. At that time, the petitioner/accused tried to enter into the polling booth. When this attempt was stopped by the defacto complainant, there was a wordy quarrel between them and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

nobody got injured.

5. This submission has not been disputed by the prosecution. Under such circumstances, the learned Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram, is directed to consider the bail application of the petitioner and pass orders on merits on the same day of his surrender.

With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
