O R D E R

This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission and police protection for conducting 'Panguni Pongal' scheduled to be held on 09.04.2025 to 11.04.2025 in 'Arulmighu Muthalamman temple' situated at Viruveedu, Nilakottai Taluk, Dindigul District, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 28.03.2025.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 2/5

and 2, on instructions, submits that they already conducted meeting with the villagers, in which, all the villagers agreed to conduct the aforesaid festival, without any issue and therefore, the respondent police is ready to provide police protection. Therefore, the representation of the petitioner was considered favorably in accordance with law.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the third respondent, on instructions, submits that one of the temple belongs to Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Department and they will conduct festival, without any law and order issue.

4. Considering the prayer sought for in this petition, this Court without issuing notice to the respondents 4 and 5, is inclined to pass orders.

5. Since the second respondent convened meeting with the villagers and the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and the police is also ready to provide police protection, recording the 3/5

submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (crl.side), this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
