O R D E R

This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection for conducting 'temple car festival' of 'Arulmighu Shri Muthumariamman Temple' situated at Kandamur, Palaiyur, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District, scheduled to be held on 08.04.2025 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 27.03.2025.

According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the one of the Villagers of Kandanur, Palaiyur Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District and every year, festival of 'Arulmighu Shri Muthumariamman Temple' is being conducted by all the community people. This year too, the said village people decided to conduct festival from 31.03.2025 to 09.04.2025. The main important function of the temple festival is, car 2/6

festival, which is scheduled to be held on 08.04.2025. While so, Vallambar Community people alone decided to pull the car by excommunicated the other community people including the petitioner's community. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 27.03.2025 and the same has not been considered so far. Hence, this petition.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (crl.side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2025 has been considered and all the village people agreed to conduct the aforesaid temple festival in a peaceful manner and as far as the temple car festival is concerned, all community people can participate and pull the car, to this aspect, there is no issue between the community people. He further submits that since upon the petitioner's representation, enquiry was conducted and the same was closed and police personnel were deployed for the aforesaid temple festival, this writ petition is without any cause of action and the same has to be dismissed.

4. Ms.AL.Gandhimathi, learned Senior Counsel, represents that she is appearing for Vallambar Community people and without impleading them, the petitioner has filed this petition. However, the respondent police conducted meeting between the two community people and the Vallambar Community people do not have any objection to the petitioner to participate in the temple car festival.

5. The respondents conducted meeting on the petitioner's representation and the Vallambar community people represented that they have no objection to conduct car festival in respect of aforesaid temple by all the community people. In view of the same, recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (crl.side), this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
