ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN,J.) The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking a limited prayer to direct the second respondent to complete the proceedings and to pass orders on his request for the grant of a community certificate for himself and his son. 2.Heard Mr.V.P.Rajan, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.M.Alagadevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3.The petitioner appears to have submitted a representation on 22.03.2013 to the second respondent for the issue of a community certificate to himself and his son. His claim was that he belongs to Malaivedan Community. The petitioner relied upon a certificate issued in favour of one of his relatives.

4.It appears that the second respondent sought a report from the Tahsildar. After the Tahsildar submitted a report, the application of the petitioner was rejected holding that there was no document to prove the community certificate. The petitioner filed an appeal to the first respondent. The first respondent remanded the matter back to the second respondent by a letter dated 13.01.2015. As a consequence, the second respondent conducted an enquiry on 06.04.2015. Unfortunately, the petitioner could not attend the enquiry. It was postponed to 18.05.2015 on which date the petitioner appeared. Thereafter, no orders have been passed. Hence, this writ petition.

5.In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to complete the enquiry and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
