Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to give adequate police protection for 'Sri Chellandiamman' temple car festival at Serukudi Village, Musiri Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District and to bring the temple car into Aadi Diravidar Street for the worship of that street people without any discrimination in the name of caste and to protect constitutional rights. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to give adequate police protection for 'Sri Chellandiamman' temple car festival at Serukudi Village, Musiri Taluk, Tiruchirappalli District and to bring the temple car into Aadi Diravidar Street for the worship of that street people without any discrimination in the name of caste and to protect constitutional rights.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 5.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the prayer in the writ petition seeking to conduct the temple car festival on 04.07.2018 to 06.07.2018 has become infructuous.

4.Recording the above submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
