PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to verify the removed member list and consequently direct them to add the removed members in the final voter list in Boothapandy Bar Association for the forthcoming election on 15.04.2025, on the basis of the Petitioner's representation, dated 29.03.2025.

DR.G.JAYACHANDRAN., J AND S.SRIMATHY.,J This Writ Petition is filed by a member of Boothapandy Bar Association seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to verify the removed member list and consequently direct them to add the removed members in the final voter list in Boothapandy Bar Association for the forthcoming election on 15.04.2025, on the basis of the Petitioner's representation, dated 29.03.2025.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the representation of the Petitioner has been positively considered and the removed members of Boothapandy Bar Association has now been included in the list and the same was communicated by way of e-mail to the Boothapandy Bar Association on 9.4.2025 of this month. However, the learned counsel made a submission that since the communication has reached the Bar Association during long vacation, members have gone on vacation and not yet reached the station. Hence, prays for extention of time for the closure of voting.
4.This Court, on considering the said request and taking note of the fact that the Court was on leave from 10.4.2025 to 14.4.2025, time for closing the voting is extended by 30 minutes and ie., the members of Boothapandy Bar Association who have reached the Voting Booth before 4.30 p.m., shall be permitted to cast their vote. The learned counsel for the first respondent/Bar Council is requested to communicate this order to the Election 3/6
